Accessed September 21, 2012.〕 As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 1,555.〔 It is located in the easternmost region of the Lehigh Valley. Brass Castle is named for Jacob Brass, an early settler of the area. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, Brass Castle had a total area of 2.934 square miles (7.599 km2), of which 2.918 square miles (7.557 km2) was land and 0.016 square miles (0.041 km2) (0.54%) was water.〔〔(US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990 ), United States Census Bureau.
